17 more days until move-in day! We are beyond excited. I'm sure you will hear about this until we finally move-in, and then you'll hear about how I'm decorating and organizing the place. (I will show pictures!)
Not much has been going on lately. I've started my second week at the new job, and I'm slowly starting a new routine. It's going to be difficult moving further from my job (15 minutes versus the 2 minutes it takes me to get to work now), but I'm sure I will manage. Once I get a little down time this weekend, I will write more about what I actually do here. I've been absorbing TONS of information, so my brain is somewhat like mush right now. Good mush, though.
Heath is still working on his new adventure, which I am anxious to write about on the blog once it's up and running. It's so exciting to see him take on new endeavors, especially ones where it encourages him to step out of his comfort zone. As you may already know, our personalities are night and day - I'm the outgoing one, and he's much more reserved and quiet. He's learning a lot right now, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this all takes him.
In regards to personality traits, that was very much conveyed during our first Group Connect class this last Sunday at church. Group Connect was a way for us to meet other new people at the church and to learn about existing community groups to join. I'm much more talkative than Heath (surprise, surprise) so I pretty much took over during all introductions. We decided to try a community group after much discussion, so I'm also looking forward to see how we interact within the group. I've never been part of a community group before so this will be interesting and definitely a learning experience. This is outside of our comfort zones, moreso Heath than myself (in terms of our social personalities), so keep us in your prayers!
We are still meal planning, so that's been pretty routine. I really can't wait for it to get warm aka HOT again so I don't have to wear a coat everywhere. Coats always cover up the outfit. It was so nice this last weekend that Heath and I walked down Grapevine Main Street again during business hours. We walked around all the shops and even stopped in for a local wine tasting (my favorite!).
The days seem to run together nowadays, but I enjoy getting to come home to Heath every day. It's still the little things that make me love him so much, such as taking a picture over and over again until I think it's social-media worthy. He makes me coffee in the mornings, brings me a glass of water before bed and gets the mail every afternoon. He has even cut his toothpaste intake after I told him I read an article about how people waste toothpaste because they use way more than they need. (Ha! I would read that kind of stuff.) It's just the little things, but I love him for it.
