Savoring the Christmas Season

Only 3 more days until Christmas. How is that even possible? It's beautiful outside. I'm not a winter lover so the fact that the high was 73 today makes me happy. This is my kind of winter weather!

We are traveling this weekend to Oklahoma for Christmas with Heath's side of the family. We also get to see some of our friends while there too so that is always fun! Since the last post about Christmas parties, we've only had even MORE Christmas celebrations :) I don't mind one bit. I love the feeling of this season. The gift of giving and receiving and lights and family and friends... I love it all.

Most importantly, knowing that the birth of Jesus is the center of all this joy. Christmas is the season for invitation in that many friends and family invite their friends and family to celebrate in their homes; churches continue to invite the community to come hear about Jesus in an exciting way and many people all over the world begin to invite Jesus into their own hearts as they start the New Year with fresh eyes and renewed perspective.

I pray for special people in my life who have not yet met Jesus and keep those in my heart who struggle to find their way back to Him. Salvation is the power of choice and I'm so very thankful I chose this life with a foundation of grace, joy and forgiveness because of Him. May I continue to remember that through the busyness of the season and savor the time I have with my close friends and family!

Here are some pictures from our fun Christmas celebrations....
