Is this real life? March update and it's still March and not three weeks into the next month? :) Some highlights from this month and current things:
- Sorry to anyone I've disappointed or ignored or took hours to text/call back or been snappy with the last few weeks, but conference season is officially over so I'm back to getting in the swing of things where I don't ignore you and I always text/call back :) Heath and I had a destination wedding so I can't relate 100%, but I can only compare conference time to planning a wedding. It's like a year's worth of work for the best three days of the year that all happens in a blink of an eye. When my friends and family ask me how conference went, I just opt for "Amazing!" because surely they wouldn't care or understand why there was a misspelling on page 3 of the printed program?
- Wyldlife is still going strong and it's been SO FUN! Heath knows many of the kids from school, but I am just now starting to remember names and recognize faces. Although I'm sure you wouldn't be able to ask a kid my first name because they refer to me as "Mrs. McKay" :)
- Heath recently got a bike over Spring Break. It folds up into a bag that he can leave in his room at school. It was like Christmas morning for him when the bike came in and you guys... he LOVES riding that to school. Even on days when I don't need the car or to go anywhere during the day, he prefers riding the bike. Some of the students even ask if they can ride to school together. Hilarious and so sweet at the same time. For those who don't know, Heath and I are a single car family because I work from home and his school is a barely a mile away from our house.
- Our air conditioner has been out since January 20th but we didn't really feel like we needed to get it fixed because it wasn't going to be warm yet. UM WRONG. As homeowners, we are going through the pain of all the warranty and who covers what and what I'm definitely not willing to pay and blah blah blah... so hoping and praying this all gets fixed soon.
- Heath has been working nonstop on landscaping the front yard. He really can do everything. Maybe not on a deadline, but he can do it :)
