I KNOW, I KNOW. It's June and I haven't blogged the last two months. It's been a whirlwind of CELEBRATIONS and fun and getting ready for Kennedy to get here. We feel so loved to have a TRIBE of friends and family supporting us becoming a family of 3. Praise God for lifelong friendships.
I'm doing a double up post for the last two months so I hope you enjoy a glance of our lives through photos! Before we get into photos, I'm doing a terrible job at recapping my pregnancy in blog posts because I never really know specifically what to share... but here we go:
- I feel like I'm experiencing everything they say pregnant women go through in their third trimester. I hit that mark the Sunday I was in Chicago for our annual conference (mid-April) and maybe because I was on my feet for hours and hours at a time, but I had swollen legs and ankles and feet for the first time.
- Then I got home a few days later and did not understand why my hands were tingling. Pregnancy-induced carpel tunnel is a thing, and yep, I HAVE IT. I now wear wrist splints while I'm sleeping and try to keep the day ones on during the workday. I say try because it really is uncomfortable to try to type and work with them on.
- Then it gets even sexier. I gave in and purchased some knee-high compression socks so I can reduce some of the swelling in my ankles and feet (I have cankles now)... especially because I'm at a desk most of the day for work. I also wear those overnight and Heath laughs at me every time :)
- I'm currently 35 weeks as I'm typing this and our weekly appointments start next week. HOW CRAZY IS THAT. The weekly appointments check how close I am to having the baby and how far I'm dilated. We are so not ready, but is anyone ever really ready?!
- I don't love being pregnant, but I also don't hate it. They say once the baby is here, there is this immediate connection and love I'll never know I had. I hear often that how much my heart could burst from first glance of our little girl and how much I adore her that the Lord loves us even more. I am anxious and excited to 'feel' it!
- Kennedy's room is nearly ready so next post, I'll share some more pics.
- Also to no one's surprise, I probably should be off my feet more often but I'm so independent and stubborn that I still do a lot of things myself. Heath will offer to help, but there have been times where I have yelled at him to stop because 'I CAN DO IT MYSELF'! If there is one thing I know I need to learn how to get rid of quickly, it's control :) - Y'all pray for me.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading :) Some more life updates in case I have a baby between now and the next update and probably won't blog for months.....
- Heath is teaching summer school in the mornings, which is good all around. He doesn't have a big house project since we are 'nesting' so it'll give him something to do :)
- I plan on working up until the day sweet Kennedy is here and as much as I want to plan everything, I know God laughs when we plan (and Kennedy is also probably laughing because she is going to come whenever she wants). She is due July 8th so we will see!
Until next time,
