Annie's Birthday Weekend in Texas

We love it when our family and/or friends come in town to visit us, especially if it's their first time.  This was Annie's first time to come see our new home and to explore our new area with us.  Tim (Heath's dad) and his fiancee Jennifer, as well as her daughter Molly, came to town to celebrate Annie's 18th birthday, and we are so glad we got to enjoy the festivities!  Heath's younger brother, Ben, and his wife, Kristin, and our niece, Remi, also joined us for lunch so it was like one big happy family outing.

First we met in Sundance Square in Fort Worth because it was the halfway point between where we lived in Grapevine and where Ben and his family live.  We had lunch at Mi Cocina (yum!) and Annie got serenaded by a little Mexican server - hilarious!!  We then drove all the way to the other side of the metroplex (just so we could be closer to Grapevine by the end of the day) to check out Sam Moon Trading Company.  If you love purses, jewelry and accessories, this is your heaven.  Of course the guys didn't join at all and ventured off to Stonebriar Mall next door while the girls continued shopping for new purses.

After more shopping (because this is Annie and I's favorite activity everrrr), Heath and I wanted to introduce Top Golf to the family.  OKC is getting one pretty soon so we wanted to show them what all the fun was about!  They loved Top Golf just as much as we do.  Tim beat all of us that day, but maybe it was beginner's luck :)

For dinner, we enjoyed the nice weather and had a patio dinner at Brio's Tuscan Grille in Southlake Town Square.  Southlake is a fancy and cute suburb, so this place had a lot of outside shopping and pretty fountains.  Of course we had to stop for some gelato!  By we, I mean they because I don't do sweets too often.

Heath works on Sundays so he wasn't able to join us for church, but I'm glad I got to bring some of the family to the church that we love!  We had lunch at La Madeline and everyone enjoyed their food.  I love food, so I make sure I take people to the yummiest places.

We were sad to see them leave, but we were going to see them again the next weekend for Heath's birthday celebration.  So thankful for these people!!  Come visit again soon :)

Until next time,
