It’s been a crazy month. And I mean crazy. Not in a bad way, but is
there such a thing as a good crazy?
First things first and that is Heath and I very much value our
relationships – with our family, our friends and each other. We try to make an
effort to celebrate everyone’s milestones and stories, both big and small. Our
little sister got nominated Senior Homecoming Queen? We’re going to take an
overnight trip to be there. Jay and Nevaeh got matching Halloween costumes?
We’re going to take them to the carnival to show them off. One of our close
friends is having a baby girl? We’re going to support her as much as possible
and give her the best baby shower. Heath has football games every Sunday
evening for the church league? I’m going to be there every game to watch him
score those touchdowns. I’m out of state on work travel for a total of 10 days
of October? We managed to take a small break and finally went to a movie (Yes –
in the theatres! It seems like we’ve been Redbox-ing and Netflix-ing the last
few months so it’s been awhile.)
 |
| I finally ordered our anniversary photo book. And I may or may not have ordered our Christmas cards already... |
In the midst of all the relationship stuff, Heath and I had very busy
work months. YMCA tackle football has come to a close but Heath had to work
every Saturday game, in addition to soccer games, a racquetball tournament,
campaign fundraising and their popular Trunk or Treat. The tackle football playoff
game at the AT&T stadium wasn’t too bad though ;)
 |
| What? Your YMCA doesn't rent out the AT&T Stadium for their tackle football playoffs? Heath took this before he had to do the YMCA pledge with the players. |
I had two events in Boston and Seattle so
it’s taken a lot of my time planning and scheduling things. And that’s just on
top of the normal stuff I’m responsible for at work. The upside with the work
travel is that I get to extend my trips to the weekend because, as everyone
likes to say, I know people everywhere! I got to see my very best friend Nelly
while in Boston and I get to see some family in Seattle this weekend.
 |
| Love my bestie! So glad I get to do life with her. |
 |
| Met up with my aunt and uncle while I was in Boston. Thanks for dinner! |
 |
| Wine Tasting |
 |
| We spent the rest of the evening in Providence, RI and waited for the Water Fire show too. It was a fun trip. |
Now I’m not telling you this to make excuses for accomplishing 0 out of
my 3 October goals. I know there’s still two more days left in the month but
the reality of me volunteering in my community (while I’m out of town), making
a cauliflower pizza crust (with no oven in my hotel room) and running once a
week (which didn’t happen even one time this month) is slim to none. I’m going
to take October as a goal loss, but did Heath manage to reach his monthly
goals? I will update you in a post next week!
So because of the busyness, I’m just going to catch you up on life from
the last few weeks in iPhone pictures. I’m hopeful the busyness will slow down
for next month. I know I say that every month….
