I have to be honest and say I love Halloween more now as an adult than when I was in college. It's so fun to think of homemade costumes rather than spending a fortune on the store bought ones
(we keep those for my niece and nephew). I've always wanted Heath and I to go as John Smith and Pocahontas and this was the year! We also had a last minute costume idea for Grapevine Colleyville Young Life Club night. I really need to emphasize last minute because we were coming down to the half hour!
Our church had their annual Fall Carnival so we took Jay and Nevaeh again this year. This marks our third year in a row. It's funny to look back at the first time we went to this (back in 2013) and Heath and I weren't even church members yet and had never gone to a service. Now we regularly attend services and are active in the church community group, so everything has just come full circle. Such a blessing.
Heath was out of town for Halloween weekend so I went trick or treating solo
(or well I followed my niece and nephew while they did). This was my first time to go with them. Let's be honest, it was my first time to go out trick or treating since I was young enough to be trick or treating
(elementary school? Seems like a lifetime ago). To think that one day we are going to have kids and have to do this for a good 10 years straight is exhausting me already ;)

I hope you all had a fun Halloween! We are headed to a wedding in Arkansas this weekend so we are looking forward to seeing some of our college friends. Hope you have a great rest of the week.
Until next time,
