October Update

This month starts the holiday 'tradition' season. I didn't grow up with a lot of traditions (while Heath did), so I made a big effort to make sure we made our own traditions together - especially during the holiday season. For the last few Octobers, Heath and I have taken our niece and nephew to the pumpkin patch, they take their annual pumpkin patch photo, we go to the church's fall carnival, etc. October just kicks off the next few months of more traditions (Thanksgiving, Christmas, seasonal parties) that I am so excited about!

Something fun we did this month I wanted to highlight was WyldLife Takeover at the AT&T Stadium (aka the Cowboys stadium).... we stayed up all night with 900 other WyldLife middle schoolers and leaders. It was a long night, but it was so fun! I'm so thankful I get to experience this ministry alongside Heath, the MVP leader of GCYL WyldLife :)

And here's a look at our last month....
Celebrating Claire's birthday!
I'm the Mom who makes my friends take awkward birthday photos :)
They're getting so big :(
I hosted my sister's baby shower... I'm going to be an aunt again!
CTMS/CMS 8th grade football game
I went to watch Lily cheer. She went to WyldLife camp!
Community Group @ the pumpkin patch - love these friends.
Fun work trip.. look how cute that chair is!
Bebs who brunch
WyldLife Halloween club with Audrey!
Hanging out at the student/staff volleyball game
Teachers lost!
Still a winner to me :)
Last minute couldn't make it to the carnival, but we made the best of it and dressed up anyway for dinner. Can't believe this would have been our fifth year at the carnival if we would have gone!

Repping the girls for the night
Night at the Museum 2 on the big screen
So after staying up all night for WyldLife and sleeping in until 3pm the next day, I had a sleepover with some of my favorite girls!!! We crafted, cooked, made cocktails and just had some sweet quality time together.

Heath starts coaching 8th grade A team basketball in November so I'm excited to watch his games this season. Mr. McKay is now Coach McKay!

Until next time,
