October/November Update

Woops... it's been too long. I'm not even going to pretend to recap the last two months earlier on like I usually do in blog posts, so I'll caption pictures as I go. I also can't even guarantee for any of these photos to be in order. Now if that doesn't represent the busyness of this time of year, then I don't know what does!

Our baby girl is a little over five months old and will be six months on Christmas Day. Seems like yesterday we announced that we were expecting during this time of year last year. We LOVE the stage K is in right now and I can't stop kissing her chunky cheeks and baby feet. I had my first overnight trip from both her and Heath in October and it went so smooth. Heath is the best dad and is Mr. Mom when I'm away.... which is good since I took 5 overnight flight trips within one month. Traveling for work is fun, but it's the best feeling to come home and see my little family.

Enjoy the photos :)

Wood painting party for Andrea's birthday. Lots of girl time and group celebrations these last two months!
Girls trip with our girls to see Gabby in Austin

Young Life Night Life banquet.... hundreds of people under a heated tent. Amazing
Annual EOY team meeting and holiday dinner. Thankful for my job!
Boo at the zoo with some of my favorite crew! I took a red eye from California to get in before Kennedy got up this day, she had her 4 month appt (Heath was working) and then I took her to the zoo. I'm going to go ahead and pat myself on the back for this super mom day.
Cutest pumpkin
Celebrated Jacy at Joe T. Garcia's. Can't wait to watch her walk down the aisle in February!
Speaking of walking down the aisle, one of my very best friends and college roommate asked both Ryan and I to stand alongside her on her big day in May! We were so excited.

Here is the beautiful bride! Loved the quick trip to OK to be there to watch her try on some wedding dresses.
These fall pumpkin/harvest photos we take every year are so fun, but make me so sad to see how big they're getting. We tried to go to the one we go to every year (ya know traditions), but the line was CRAZY packed to even get in (the nicest day after a long week of rain). We went to Grapevine Main St. and saw these at the gazebo instead. Heath's mom was in town to hang out with us so it was a fun weekend! Heath was in Austin for his friend's bachelor party.
He is in junior high now and I can't even handle it.
Gigi and K rae!
Strawberry for her school Halloween parade.
Boo-tiful baby on Halloween day!
Shrimp nigiri, soy sauce and sriracha for Halloween evening :)
The Anthem in DC
These photos are all out of order. Sorry! Random trip to the Dallas Farmers Market on a really nice Saturday. We were there for 5 hours! So fun.
I love him!
I also took my first road trip alone with Kennedy. I landed from Tampa around 6 and hit the road around 730 (during her usual bedtime). She slept the whole way!!!! It was the perfect first road trip.
Craft at the ECDC.
They are so sweet together and play with each other so well!
Kennedy watched her dad play in the teacher student volleyball game :) It was a pink out.
It was so loud and I have no idea how she fell asleep during this thing.
Chief wanted to join in on tummy time
Books around her so she can learn how to pivot her head during tummy time
Smothering grandma lol
Favorite sidekick at work
Sleeping yet again during a volleyball game
Thanksgiving in Edmond with her great Granny and great Papa
Thanksgiving in Kingfisher at the farm
Met up with my Cake Denim babes while they were in town from California!
Took K to her first Thunder game with her Poppy and Nana
She loves her some Aunt Crissy!
She started rolling right before 5 months and now she wants to wiggle everywhere!
Now it's just a bunch of K Rae photos
School day photos - TOO PRECIOUS
Guess we are back to Thanksgiving. This is my SIL Kristin - super mom!
It's never a McKay family get together unless we end up playing games
Quick moms shopping trip :)
Lauren beb came by to see Kennedy! She was very happy!
She loves these at school so guess what we bought and have at our house now??
I can't with this face
Does. Not. Care. About. Halloween.
Center of attention always.
With her great grandma and great grandpa
Again... center of attention.
And here's our tree with no extra decor! Just a tree and some ornaments and a star that has a broken light. We do the bare minimum when it comes to seasonal decorating here and only decorate for Christmas.
We won't have Kennedy's stocking in time this year so Chief's old one will do :)

Only two more weeks until Christmas Eve. It doesn't even really feel like Christmas time to me, but I'm hoping I get in the spirit soon!

Until next time,
