December Update

Yikes - I'm a little (okay, a lot) behind. Instead of grouping it with January (because there were so many things in December), I'm going to do a December post anyway. Kennedy just makes life so much sweeter no matter what we are doing and she loved her first Christmas (if she could talk).

Just like every holiday, we typically split our time on both sides of the family in Texas and in Oklahoma. This year, we were smart and borrowed my dad's SUV to go to Oklahoma knowing for a fact that we would come back with so many gifts for Kennedy. Hopefully by this year's Christmas, we will have a bigger car :)

Heath and I got some alone time together for a few days after Christmas through New Year's Day while Kennedy spent some quality time with her Gigi and KP (Heath's mom and stepdad). I love the holidays and am thankful for both of our jobs that allow us many days off to spend time with our families.

Enjoy our December pics! Sorry they're out of order.

6 months on Christmas Day
New Christmas Day dinner tradition at Tim and Jennifer's (per Heath request). The best pork tenderloin ever! It was a Pioneer Woman recipe with a peppercorn crust (and I love peppercorn).

We went to a book launch for Fit Men Cook! This isn't something we usually do so it was really fun to get out of our element and we met a sweet couple we ended up going to dinner with after :)
The start of my sick girl :( She got her first fever this month and had her first ear infection.
Zaria likes putting blankets on Chief lol
Forever Friends Christmas brunch and gift exchange

Chicken Noodle Soup
Found her feet this month, too.
Lemon chicken with asparagus from Fit Men Cook.
Beautiful table and place setting for the Compass Women's Christmas Gathering
Bianca was the guest speaker and having a celebrity moment is an understatement.
I took one of her shirts home, of course.
Had Nevaeh over for a night one weekend - she is so sweet and funny (and sassy!)
Heath took this photo. He lets me sleep in Saturday mornings while he usually cooks breakfast :)
Tried black bean dip from Gloria's - I swear she liked it.
I can't wait to tell Kennedy her first Santa was at PetSmart because we wanted to take Chief LOL
Love this girl.
Baby girl got her high chair this month! She loves it.
And just wanted to share this cute photo of our fur baby. He squeezes himself into the layers of the pillows on our bed :)

Kennedy turns 7 months next week. I wish she could stay this age forever. She is so fun! I'm coming off the tail end of a stomach bug so lots of prayers that it started and stopped with me. Hope you all are having a great week!

Until next time,
