February flew by. Kennedy is pure joy in our lives! Sometimes I wonder why we didn't have a kid sooner because she is the cutest thing, but having time to ourselves for five years was one of the best decisions we made. After uploading these pictures, I realized there is not one of Chief by himself. I'll have to make up for it next month.
Some updates:
- I don't know if I mentioned this in January update, but Kennedy can sit up by herself. She is very strong! No, really. I'm not just trying to brag on her. She's almost close to crawling. Her teachers at daycare think she will be crawling by Spring Break. It's between her and another baby in class. Whoever crawls first is moving up to the next class first. I'm not ready for moving her up yet. I love her teachers!!!
- She's also eating a few solids and enjoys a little baby food here and there. Chicken, carrots, broccoli, avocado, canned pears, bread and I even gave her a french fry LOL
- She also enjoys sleeping on her stomach now! She has been sleeping through the night since the new year and it's hard to believe there ever was a time when I used to cry from lack of sleep. (Real words spoken in her first weeks: I love her, but PLEASE JUST TAKE HER AWAY!!!)
- Heath started the year on the keto diet. Today is his last day although he mentioned he may keep doing it. We've had lots of cheese, meat and good fats around here! I'm not on the keto diet though because you know.... #sugar #wine #bread
- He's also coaching long jump in track this semester. He had his first track meet tonight and we had every intention of going to support him and the school, but it's soooooooo cold!!!!
- I'm in the middle of planning my first annual conference in my new role since I transitioned last fall. The next few weeks are going to be pretty busy so I'm praying for continued energy and a positive spirit.
- This isn't really an update, but we are so ready for the spring and warmer weather around here.
Enjoy our month in photos! Or, just photos of Kennedy...
