Update #2: Move-In Weekend

Move-in weekend flew by.  I don’t know if that’s because we stayed up until 4 in the morning the first night unpacking, or because it was just so exciting finally being in our own place.  Yes, you read that right – four in the morning!  Heath didn’t get in with the U-Haul truck until 7:30 Friday evening so it was a late start.  Nevertheless, we got it done.  Can you expect anything less?  I am the queen of organization.  I wouldn’t let us sleep until we had every box unpacked.  Heath was lucky I let us take a late dinner break.

I looked at the time on my phone before we unloaded all the boxes and furniture.  I say we, because yes, I did help carry a few things up the stairs.  However, most of the credit goes to my little brother, his girlfriend, my dad and Heath.  I did a very good job of telling them where to place things.  Anyways, they unloaded this huge U-Haul truck in less than 15 minutes!!  I was amazed.  I wish I would’ve taken a picture of everything inside the truck.  Also, a HUGE thank you to the best FIL a girl could have!  Tim is always so gracious to us, but we truly appreciate him supporting us and coming to Texas often to help.

Here are a few pictures from move-in weekend.  I will post more pictures of our apartment once all of our decorations and furniture are settled and ready.  We are expecting our first house guests this weekend so we are excited!  Our friends from Oklahoma are coming in town and staying at our place.  Our place – sounds so good to say that.

We soon realized we should probably invest in some actual drinking cups.  Looks like we only serve alcohol or coffee currently.
Heath is so good to me.  I don't deserve him.
Celebratory $5 champagne!

Amber Tye from Three Twenty Three designs created this to match our kitchen and dining room!

My favorite part of the apartment is the kitchen.  Clearly.  I am obsessed with the countertops and the new appliances.  My second favorite is the staircase wall because I’ve always wanted to have a line of pictures scattered on the wall.  I can’t wait to share some of our photos with you.  And believe it or not, I’ve already used the complex’s fitness equipment.  This new scenery may make for a good change.

Thanks for following us on our marriage journey!

Until next time,
