Life in the Fast Lane

Wow, things are a whirlwind around here!  I was working a lot preparing for the conference, and then it got even busier during the actual event.  I always wanted to know what it was like in the background of one, and it's wayyy more hectic than I thought it would be.  9 staff for over 700 attendees… now THAT is a super duper team!

My life is documented in pictures, for which I am grateful at least one of us enjoys taking them.  Heath has been really busy looking at several different positions to work while he does P1B on the side.  I've been doing some traveling and having weekend trips here and there, but Heath loves that he gets the TV to himself all the time!  Things should die down by beginning of May I'm sure, but for now… we keep going and going anyway.

I slowly am getting my voice back.  I lost it midway through conference time from all the talking and networking and lack of sleep.  Luckily I had yesterday and today off to recuperate, so I can prepare myself for some heavy follow-up within the next week at work.  Being gone for the last 5 days seemed so long.

My sister had a birthday this week, so we were able to get together and celebrate with homemade food and a cookie cake.  We are all getting so old.  My brother graduates this year, so he's in the middle of prom shopping.  I can't believe he will turn 18 this June.

Anyways, here's yet again a collection of pictures.  Glenda and Kyle visited us a few weeks back, and it was so fun to have them here.  We didn't want them to leave.  Heath and I managed to get a date night in unexpectedly, and I had the best time at the conference's networking reception at The Field Museum in Chicago.  I also took an overnight trip to Oklahoma for Kylie's bridal shower and to see sweet Annie off to prom.  Of course, I had to have a girls night with my friends while I was in town too.
Wine tasting at D'Vine Wine in Grapevine.
Dinner at Big Fish in Grapevine… Our favorite.
Date night at our favorite sushi spot - Sushi Axiom.
Kylie's MOH, Kylie, me and my SIL Kristin.
Beautiful!
Sangria and tapas at Bolero in Bricktown.
Picked my niece and nephew up and took them to McDonald's before I left for Chicago.  They love the playground.
A little bit of Chicago for the 10 hours I was outside of the hotel out of the 5 days I was there.
Dinner at Lou something?  A popular pizza spot.
Such a pretty venue for our networking reception.

Selfie with Sue.
I'm headed to Austin tomorrow to see one of my best friends, Gabby.  I haven't been there since 2010, so I'm excited to see what the town has to offer in 36 hours.  Easter is slowly creeping on us, and we're still not sure what our plans are yet (regarding family).  I can only thank God for a roof over my head, a bed to sleep on and a husband who loves me endlessly.

Until next time,
