#mckaysatthelake was a fun time! Although the lake is not my scene (
bugs ew. lake water ew.), it's always so great to all be together. The older we get, the harder it is for people to meet the same schedule so it was awesome for Tim and Jennifer to rent a lake house for us to enjoy. What was even more awesome (and brave) was that Jennifer asked if we wanted to bring my niece and nephew with us. My favorite part was seeing them do a lot of "firsts" - catching their first fish, tubing for the first time, riding on a boat for the first time, etc. I definitely can tell I'm going to be the disciplinary mom when we decide to have kids one day :)
Remi had her birthday party this weekend too and the lake house was only 20 minutes away - planned perfectly that way by none other than Jennifer herself. It just makes my Type A, prepared for anything and everything heart so happy when I meet someone who shares the same love for to-do lists and menu planning as me. Seriously, she knocks my hostess with the mostess title out of the water. And lucky me, she is also my mother-in-law!
BRB - Heath and I are peeling from the rays this last weekend, but enjoy our photos.
