Operation Organization

So I'm catching up on blog posts and separating them by events. I actually did Operation Organization almost a month ago, but I want to be able to blog it so I can look back at things from this year.

Heath was in Oklahoma for two weeks doing some extra work and house stuff for his dad and stepmom, which left me in Grapevine thinking of how I can reorganize and super clean our apartment with no one in my way :) I can't believe I let our pantry and some of our cabinets get this cluttered for this long (We've been in this apartment since February 2014). It's funny how you can definitely avoid things when you don't have to look at it considering cabinet and pantry doors are most often closed.

I did something not all Type A people would agree with - I went to the stores to buy organizing stuff without even measuring if it was going to fit! I know, I don't believe myself either. But I am a true "return" girl so it wasn't a problem to bring things back I didn't use or wouldn't fit. I'm notorious for returns because I tend to have buyers remorse and will not tear off tags up until the day I wear or use something. Could be annoying to others (like Heath), but oh well...

I'm going to let these pictures speak for me. And if you are curious, the pantry is still in place, towels are folded correctly and my jeans are stacked perfectly.

I love The Container Store.
TJ Maxx
Home Goods
There used to be shelf of just loose leaf papers from Heath's studying days, but you can't see them now!
How we manage to still love each other when we share the smallest closet EVER is beyond me
This picture won't mean much to you, but Heath was so proud of me for taking off all the purses and robes hanging outside of the closet door. Instead, I just moved it to the inside door ;) Much cleaner look.
Before pantry picture...
Heath's shoes.. There's also some on both sides of the closet on the floor. I have to use a cabinet in the bathroom for my shoes because he's taken over the closet with his.
The most non matching colors in the world, but I just had to work with what we already had! This was also a victory because I used to just throw stuff on the dresser and we are guilty for using the dresser as storage. This gives it much more room and makes it appear so much cleaner.
My side.
In our next home life, we will get a headboard.
Another before pantry picture... This is embarrassing.
My side of the closet. Yes, my clothes are organized by color and sleeve length, then it goes to winter wear/sweaters and ends with Heath's Nike pullovers. The top shelf is still folded just as nicely!
Our poor excuse of a bathroom cabinet. But at least it's all folded and nice!
Before this tray, all of this was just in a drawer. This isn't the best option with the small storage space we have, but it works for now and appears neat.
Spinning spice racks are my favorite.
After!
Then there's just random food pictures :)
Heath's basketball league started. This is me and Cortny ready to cheer on our husbands!

Until next time,
