LABOR DAY WEEKEND
Some of my best college friends came in town and we had an ultimate girls weekend! We ate lots of yummy food, went to yoga in the park and had some time at the pool.
WATCHING FOOTBALL
Our friends from community group invited us to a TCU football game. The weather couldn't have been better that day! This section really only applies to Heath, but it's high football season for all of America so that's what we've been doing. Heath also started his second year of flag football season at our church with some of the guys so I've enjoyed watching them play on Sunday evenings.
MEAL MARATHON & GRAPEFEST
Glenda came in town to visit us one weekend and we had so much fun! It was also our church's huge volunteer event for Meal Marathon, so she was kind enough to come with us :) We went to the annual Grapevine Grapefest and took her to the overwhelming Nebraska Furniture Mart.
My little brother wanted to see Glenda so he came to church and lunch with us!
I extended a work trip for the weekend and hung out with my dad and stepsister in California. He took me to see our old house (we moved out when I was 9) and we ran into our old neighbor. It was good getting to see family I don't get to see very often.
Had dinner with some friends from my Legacy days when in California
I honestly have only been to the fair one other time when we first moved here in 1999 so as much as it was Heath's first time at the State Fair of Texas, I felt like it was mine too. It's always a great time getting together with our friends... even though we missed the last train back to our cars so we ubered it back :)

I am so thankful for this group of community girls. I love our parties (mainly Megan is the mastermind of all these cute themes) and have loved getting to know them!
We also had a cookie exchange this year.
We had an open weekend so I wanted to go to Oklahoma. Our next trip probably wouldn't be until Thanksgiving so I had to make sure I had to get a trip in! We finally got to see one of our friends perform live - so cool to see people following along with his lyrics.

PUMPKIN PATCH
I got to tag along with Ashley to take Zaria to her first pumpkin patch. She has many bewildered looks in the photos, but she was too cute. Heath and I also took our niece and nephew to the pumpkin patch this last weekend. We love spending time with them... not that you don't already know that by now :)
There really isn't an update on Heath's new adventure as a teacher other than he LOVES it and I love seeing him so happy. It's crazy to see his hard work come full circle all within a year. I am so proud of him. As for me, I'm still working from home full time and have one more work trip for the year. I cannot wait for the holidays!
Hopefully it won't be until Thanksgiving until I update again, but no promises. These pictures truly remind me of how blessed we are!
Until next time,
