Although it may not feel like a new season outside, it's definitely a new season in our lives. This is Heath's first week of school
(still can't believe he's finally a teacher!), I'm fortunate to have a job where I'm now working from home full time, my niece and nephew are back to school, community group is about to start up in the fall and Heath is going to be
Young Life leader.
Within the last few weeks, Heath and I have had talks about how extremely thankful we are for the life we get to live and how great everything is right now. During my morning
online bible study, one of the clips said something that just really stuck with me and could not be more true of this season:
"I'm in a very comfortable place in life and I ask God: what are you calling me to in that? Our places are not just for self-serving. Our place is to love with a heart of Christ - that's servant leadership."
As we take on more of a leadership role with our church community group and Heath mentors to the high school students as his role as a Young Life leader, it just reminds me of God calling us to servant leadership in this comfortable, "great" place in our lives.
We are so very blessed by the relationships, both friends and family, and look forward to the next few months.
