Three More Days

I received a text from Heath earlier that read: "IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  Not what you think.

He was ecstatic that his time with BK Kapshagay was finally finished.  After having a meeting with his coach two weeks ago, I could only imagine how difficult it was for him to still be expected to practice two times a day AND travel to Taldykorgan City for not one, but two games.  The team left Saturday and is currently on the way back as I write this.  BK Kapshagay is now 2-2 for the season as they murdered Almaty by 79 points the first night and about 45 points the second night.

That's beside the point.  The most important thing is that Heath and I make our journey back to America this Friday- in only three days!  Now that it's getting closer, my anticipation and excitement to be back home is overwhelming.  I can't wait to put my bare feet on carpet (only rugs here), cook without turning on and off the gas before every use and bake something in an OVEN.  Our apartment didn't come with an oven, remember?

I've been applying for jobs since I found out we were going back to Texas.  I'm much more confident this time around since I've had some work experience after college, but please keep me in your prayers throughout this time.  It's still scary applying for jobs, especially since I'm trying to branch out of my comfort zone.

Heath and I also have been looking around for a place to call our permanent new home.  We are looking forward to getting back to check out some places we've already read about online.  Heath has already given me some guidelines for decorating.  I'm surprised there were only two!  1. Not too much turquoise and 2. None of that country crap.  Do mason jars count as "country"???

Anyways, we can't wait to be back.  I'm just glad we go back on the same day so I don't have to wait over a month to be with him again.  We found out his flight leaves Friday, but we don't know what time it is leaving yet.  We are crossing our fingers he is on my flight :)

We can't wait to see all of our friends and family, and, most importantly, eat a whole lot of American food!  My friend, Amy, made this cartoon strip of us the other day.  I thought it was so cute and funny.

Until next time,
