Christmas Dinners, Cards & a Gingerbread House

Only 8 more days until Christmas! I say this all the time, but I really do love this time of year. Heath and I got a little bit of Christmas shopping done and a start on our Christmas crafts. I can't wait to share the final pictures of those after Christmas because I am so proud of our craft efforts. Heath and I are also doing gifts for each other this year (we opted out last year) so it's been fun taking note of things he wants/needs. Funny thing is he may not even know he needs it until I get it :)

We also decorated a gingerbread house, which was really fun after the 1 - 2 hour wait for the walls to stay sturdy. It was an all-day process. You'd think it's a one time deal, but we actually had to wait for the icing to dry so the walls would stay up. Better to have a sturdy home I suppose. Our Christmas card wall is also looking great!

I attended the Christmas Womens Gathering at our church and really enjoyed hanging out with some of the community group girls. Blue Mesa catered so it was delicious, but the best part was the speaker Lisa Harper. She was HILARIOUS! She definitely is a personality that doesn't color in the lines and I loved that about her speaking and her perspective of the Bible.
As mentioned in the last post, I took a work trip to Orlando and enjoyed getting to hang out with my best friend. The event went really well, but as always I never get enough sleep on work travel. Well quite frankly, Heath and I both aren't getting much sleep lately because it's just been really busy at work and in our social lives (no complaint about the social part!).

Robin Roberts was one of our keynote speakers.
We are looking forward to several Christmas parties and I can't wait to share pictures of our tacky Christmas sweaters. We also have some more Christmas tradition ideas so I hope we make some time to do that before the year is over as well :)

Until next time,
