Reflecting on 2014

As we get ready to ring in the New Year, I wanted to take a moment to look back at all we've gone through this last year. 2014 was one of the best years of our lives, and I know it will only get better. This year was a year of growth for the both of us - financially, spiritually and within our professional development. We are blessed by our friends and family, and we look forward to more fun in 2015. Here are some highlights of the past year...

JANUARY

I started a new job with a great team.
We went to watch OSU play in the Cotton Bowl with Jennifer & Tim. This was both our first time at the AT&T Stadium.
FEBRUARY

We moved into our apartment in Grapevine. We've made it our home sweet home! Heath also started his job at Hertz this month as well.
I went to Boston to visit my best friend.
Heath spoke at Edmond Memorial's FCA meeting. So proud of this moment.
We joined a community group through our church and met everyone for the first time this month. (This picture is actually from the end of the summer and it's just the wives.)

MARCH

We ran in Edmond Memorial's Swine Week Hog Jog 5k. I caught a flight to Orlando right after for work!
Glenda and Kyle visited us for the first time in our new hometown. This is after we had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants on Grapevine Main St.
APRIL

Amy and I took an overnight road trip to visit Gabby in Austin.
I traveled to Chicago for my job's annual conference. Busiest I've ever been!
Our cousin Kylie married Bryan in a beautiful ceremony in Tulsa. BAWS!
MAY

I got low highlights in my hair and we went to our first festival of the year together, Grapevine's Main St. Days.
We hosted our out of town friends for Memorial Day Weekend and had a blast.
My big little brother graduated high school - along with our sister Molly and our cousin Tayte!
JUNE

Heath and I spent 4 hours cooking to prep meals for the week. Meal prepping is definitely not our thing!
Family came in town to celebrate Annie's 18th birthday. We took them to Top Golf for the first time, and they loved it.
We came to Oklahoma for Father's Day weekend, and also to celebrate Heath's 26th birthday. Heath also started his new job as Program Coordinator at the YMCA.
Heath went to his first Rangers game.
My grandma moved to Texas.
We bought me a new car!
JULY

We finally got patio furniture and enjoyed summer mornings before work together over breakfast.
Our niece Remington turned 1.
Glenda & Kyle hosted the 1st Annual Shrimp Boil
AUGUST

We had our A anniversary in downtown Dallas to celebrate 1 year.
We also got anniversary photos done.
SEPTEMBER

Someone wrecked my car in the parking lot :(
OCTOBER

Heath started playing flag football in our church's league.
I tried bone marrow for the first time in Boston. This was a busy month for work travel and also went to Seattle at the end of the month.
I was one of the hostesses for a baby shower for sweet Ashley.
We dressed up as the 50s era while our niece and nephew were skeletons for our church's Fall Festival.

 NOVEMBER

We spent Thanksgiving Day with my family then traveled to Oklahoma for another Thanksgiving. I also started at Joann's at the end of this month as my seasonal part-time job.
My aunt spent a few weeks in Texas and we had fun with her!
We took family pictures while in Oklahoma. Missing Kristin!

DECEMBER

We wore Christmas gear to many parties and enjoyed hanging out with all of our friends.
I did my first painting class with Jennifer, Annie & Kristin.
We did family picture retakes over Christmas in Oklahoma and we got a snowy surprise! Clearly none of us were expecting it so this is what I had to wear :)

May you have a Happy New Year! I pray 2015 brings you much happiness and blessings.

Until next time,
