| Our friend Megan got us a new ornament for the tree and it fits perfectly! It's red and glittery. |
We love, love, love going to local events and festivals. Grapevine's annual Christmas parade goes in this category! I'm not sure if Heath ever loved these things before we met, but I know for sure he loves them now because of me. Or because I've made him go to so many with me :) We weren't living in Grapevine at this time last year yet, but we missed their Christmas parade so this was our first time. We met up with some of our community group on Main St. and had lots of fun! My only other Christmas parade experiences have been in Shawnee so that is incomparable. We went from tractors to huge buses and floats, so this parade was definitely an upgrade. The weather was perfect.

Our church does a glo Christmas service to start the Christmas season. (glo stands for go love others.) This is a way for adults/parents to see Christmas through a child's eyes. The service is very much geared towards kids, which is why we brought our niece and nephew. What's not to love about glow sticks, hot chocolate, candy canes and stage play? Jay and Nevaeh had a blast and it made me so happy to see them having so much fun worshipping and celebrating Jesus.
We want to watch a Christmas movie once a week, but we outdid ourselves and watched two this week! I know there are tons of Christmas movies on TV right now, but with our schedules and not being home at the same time, it's rare there is one on TV that we can watch. What's your favorite Christmas movie? Both were funny, but A Madea Christmas had us crying laughing. It was either really funny or we were at some delirious point where everything was funny because we were so tired last night.
We took a day trip to Graham today to see Heath's family and for Remi's baby dedication. I wish I would've gotten picture of that pretty little 17-month old! Days like today remind me how beyond thankful I am for this family. Every moment is always a celebration; nothing is ever too big or small.
I head to Orlando bright and early in the morning for the next few days. It's the last work trip of the year to one of the largest healthcare conferences, but what I'm most looking forward to is hanging out with my best friend, Nelly. She also works in healthcare and will be at the conference. Heath will be home starting our Christmas craft gifts :) Anyways, I will catch you up on my trip in the next post and some more of Heath and I's fun Christmas activities. Have a great week!
Until next time,
